Alaskan Fishing
What to Expect
Simple. Seamless. Unforgettable.
We keep things easy — you bring your sense of adventure, and we’ll handle the rest. Whether it’s your first guided trip or your fifteenth, we want you to feel completely prepared, relaxed, and excited to fish Alaska’s most iconic waters.
Here’s exactly what to expect before, during, and after your trip with Kenai Fishing.

✅ We’ll Confirm Everything
After booking, you’ll receive a detailed confirmation email with where to meet, what time, and what to bring.
✅ Packing Is Easy
You don’t need waders, fancy gear, or any fishing equipment — we provide it all. Just bring warm layers, a rain jacket, snacks, and your fishing license.
✅ Licenses Made Simple
You can purchase your Alaska fishing license (and king salmon stamp if needed) online ahead of time at adfg.alaska.gov.
✅ We Watch the River Conditions
Water levels and fish activity change often — but don’t worry, we’ve got it dialed. Your trip will always launch from the best location based on conditions.
Respect for the River
“You don’t truly guide unless you respect the water you’re on. The Kenai and Kasilof rivers have given us so much — and it’s our duty to protect them. Clean water, healthy fish runs, and good ethics aren’t optional — they’re everything.”
We follow ethical fishing practices, support habitat preservation, and work with like-minded organizations to keep Alaska’s fisheries strong for generations to come.

It's About More Than Fishing
On the Day of Your Trip
✅ Friendly, On-Time Pickup
We’ll meet you at the designated launch site, help you gear up, and give a quick rundown of the day’s plan.
✅ Top-Quality Gear
We provide G. Loomis rods, reels, tackle, bait, hip boots, and more. It’s pro-level gear, perfectly matched to the fish we’re chasing.
✅ Patient, Professional Guidance
You’ll get as much (or as little) coaching as you want. Whether you’re a beginner or a lifelong angler, we meet you where you’re at.
✅ Clean & Comfortable Boats
Our Yamaha-powered jet boats are smooth, stable, and built for fishing. Plenty of room to cast, sit back, or take photos.
✅ We Take Care of the Fish
We clean, fillet, and bag your catch at the end of the trip. We’ll even recommend a local processor if you want to vacuum-seal and ship it home.
The Fishing Itself
🎣 Sockeye Salmon: Fast-paced casting and big action from mid-June to mid-August
🐻 Silver Salmon: Aggressive strikers and epic fights, especially late August–September
🌈 Rainbow Trout: Fly or spin — catch, photo, and release Alaska’s prettiest fish
🐡 Halibut: Combine with your river trip for a true Alaska combo experience
Every trip is different. Some days we grind for big payoffs, others we limit out fast and enjoy the ride. Either way, we stay flexible and fish hard.
