🦴 Who Is Bones?
Bones isn’t just a dog. She’s family, guide, mascot, and co-pilot rolled into one furry bundle of joy. Whether she’s scouting salmon from the bow of the boat or snoozing between bites, Bones has become a fan favorite among Kenai River fishing guests—and it’s easy to see why.
Bones has been part of the Kenai Fly Fish team since she was a pup. Raised on riverbanks and boat decks, she instinctively knows when the bite is on. Some say she can smell a school of sockeye coming upriver.
🎒 What’s a Day with Bones Like?
If you’re booked on one of our Full Day Trips or Half Day Trips, chances are you’ll be sharing the boat with Bones. She’ll greet you with a wag, hop aboard, and assume her position—either curled by the oars or standing proudly near the bow, eyes scanning the current.
Bones is gentle with kids, respectful of space, and will gladly accept a snack (with your guide’s permission, of course). She never disrupts the fishing and often makes the trip even more relaxing, like having your best friend along for the ride.
